Sussex Strategy Group Expands East To Atlantic Canada

Sussex Strategy Group, Canada’s leading public affairs firm, is thrilled to announce its expansion into Atlantic Canada—a region rich in economic and policy opportunities. This initiative will be led by Mike Holland, who has joined Sussex as Vice President of Atlantic Canada.

Mike’s appointment marks a significant milestone for Sussex as we expand our presence across the country to better support our clients’ evolving business objectives.

With an extensive background in both the public and private sectors, Mike is an invaluable addition to the Sussex team. He joins us after serving two terms as a senior cabinet minister in the New Brunswick government, where he oversaw key departments, including Natural Resources, Energy and Mines, Indigenous Affairs, Crown Lands, Forestry, and Fish and Wildlife. During his tenure, Mike played a pivotal role in shaping energy policy, advancing conservation efforts, and ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources in the province. His innovative approaches to land preservation and resource management have left a lasting impact on New Brunswick’s environmental and energy landscape.

"I have worked for several years as a government official and an entrepreneur. Joining Sussex will allow me to leverage that experience to assist a wide variety of clients in strategically setting and achieving their goals."
- Mike Holland

Mike’s recognized expertise in energy, conservation, and government relations—both provincially and internationally—positions him as a crucial asset in helping our clients navigate the evolving policy and regulatory landscape. His deep understanding of the intersection between government, industry, and community enables him to provide tailored advice that aligns with both regional and national goals. As the demand for effective policy solutions grows, Mike’s strong relationships with government stakeholders and industry leaders in the Atlantic region enhance his capacity to advocate for clients. He brings a wealth of knowledge on regional issues and a collaborative approach to problem-solving, making him the ideal leader to drive impact and growth in Atlantic Canada.

Expanding to meet client needs across Canada

As Atlantic Canada increasingly plays a vital role in national energy, resource, and infrastructure discussions, Sussex is well-positioned to support businesses and organizations operating in the region or seeking to expand there and capitalize on emerging opportunities. This expansion underscores our commitment to fostering meaningful progress and providing clients across Canada with the insights and guidance they need to succeed. With Mike leading the charge in Atlantic Canada, Sussex is poised to deliver impactful solutions and contribute to the region’s continued growth and success.
