Oliveah specializes in distilling complex issues into public language. Her expertise lies in creating public relations strategies in the traditional and new media space that increase awareness and support for clients’ business objectives.
Oliveah has successfully executed podcast and influencer strategies and has secured media coverage, including op-ed placements for clients with the Canadian Press, Globe and Mail, National Post, and Toronto Star, as well as niche political outlets such as The Hill Times, iPolitics, and Policy Options. She has a talent for writing in a way that embodies clients’ brand voices – from strategic plans and speaking remarks to op-eds and blog posts.
Prior to Sussex, Oliveah worked for Conestoga Students Inc., supporting student leadership and engagement initiatives at Conestoga College. She also worked in communications at the City of Cambridge and supported a consulting firm with business development.
Oliveah holds a BA in Public Relations and a certificate in Digital Marketing. She is also PRK® Certified with the Canadian Public Relations Society and played a key role in a communications campaign that won a Gold Quill Award of Merit from the International Association of Business Communicators.
Outside of work, Oliveah loves reading non-fiction, browsing through HomeSense, and HIIT workouts (for which she fully endorses the FitOn app!).
