As Director on the energy team, Kaleb specializes in navigating complex policy challenges, galvanizing stakeholders toward shared objectives, and supporting corporate strategy development in highly regulated industries. He brings a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to helping clients align business priorities with evolving policy and regulatory frameworks.
Kaleb has helped utilities develop and defend multi-year, performance-based rate applications, designed policy frameworks to accelerate infrastructure renewal, distributed energy resource (DER) adoption, and energy efficiency, and supported government commissions in delivering influential reports to advance energy and fiscal policy.
Before joining Sussex, Kaleb brought over 15 years of experience in senior roles focused on regulatory policy, strategy, and stakeholder relations within Ontario’s energy sector. Earlier in his career, he served as a policy advisor, dividing his time between Ontario’s Cabinet Office and the Ministries of Energy and Finance.
Kaleb holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. He has also testified on regulatory matters before the Ontario Energy Board.
Outside of work, Kaleb is passionate about sports, especially skiing and curling, and enjoys spending time when he can on the Bruce Peninsula. He leads a vibrant family life with his wife, a small animal veterinarian, and their two children along with many pets.
