ABOUT
Faria is an Associate part of the Environment Practice where she specializes in public affairs and policy analysis at the federal and provincial levels of government, with a focus on environmental policy.
Faria has successfully organized and executed several events for clients, which saw influential governmental and industry stakeholders brought together in support of advancing shared objectives. She has conducted robust research on legislation and regulations for clients that resulted in successful federal policy changes. Faria has also delivered presentations featuring program recommendations to key decision-makers at the Ontario Public Service, including an Assistant Deputy Minister and a Ministerial-appointed committee.
Faria spent the last two years working as a Research Consultant at a boutique government relations firm, where she provided strategic advice to clients, organized and executed successful client events, and supported partners and other internal stakeholders through managing research projects. Prior to this, she completed a Master Level Policy Co-op at the Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks, where she worked on numerous projects at the Great Lakes Office.
Faria holds a Master of Public Policy with a Collaborative Specialization in Environmental Studies from the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Human Geography from the University of British Columbia. She held leadership roles at the Munk School’s Beyond the Headlines, the UBC Panhellenic Council, and the UBC Political Science Students’ Association during her studies.
Faria enjoys going to concerts, trying new restaurants with friends, and travelling.
