Carly is an Associate, focused primarily on Ontario government relations at Sussex Strategy Group.

Carly advises Sussex clients drawing upon a background in public policy and experience in public affairs. Knowledgeable of government policy and process, she advises clients on issues related to legislation, regulation, policy, funding and programs. In the pursuit of client objectives, Carly has had success working with clients to develop policy papers and white papers.

Carly first joined Sussex as a Research Associate, responsible for assisting clients with their research needs and in the development of policy alternatives. She joined Sussex after working within the policy department of a major Toronto business association. Her experience includes working as a research fellow at a global governance and public policy think tank while completing her Masters in International Public Policy at Wilfrid Laurier University. She also holds a BA (Hon.) in Political Science from the University of Guelph.

2016 Ontario Government Fall Economic Statement
This afternoon Ontario Finance Minister Charles Sousa delivered the Wynne government’s Fall Economic Statement (FES). Its formal name is “Building Ontario Up for Everyone: the 2016 Ontario Economic Outlook and Fiscal Review”. With the Liberals trailing badly in public opinion polling, and with two by-elections looming in just three days, the content and delivery of this year’s Statement was expected to take on additional strategic importance.
